Yes it is a new word to me but I guess it is where Vespers comes from. I found it in the theasaurus and it just summed up what I wanted to say!

Thanks x the cathedral was packed with noisy people of all ages rehearsing the Mystery Plays, but the chapels were quiet and in total darkness which made a deep contrast!

Well as the cast were rehearsing the struggle between Satan and Jesus as I wandered around the chapels late at night in the dark, it felt like good versus evil when I saw those swords!

Thank you x It was very moody being in the cathedral late at night during rehearsals for the Mystery Plays. There is a strange quality to the light and the silence which I found fascinating.

I took the photo in a chapel during a break in rehearsing the mystery plays. The cathedral was really dark except for odd corners which cast strange shadows. Very atmospheric!
