Oh that’s lovely, thank you!
I used to love harvest time when I was teaching and the children would learn all sorts of lovely harvest songs. I found myself singing one the other day as I picked blackberries near my house! Thank goodness there was only my dog nearby!
Wow, such a beautiful place bursting with lovely colours. Your friend has done great job. It would be a pleasure to spend some time in the beautiful surroundings.
Oh thanks Susan!
I remembered the song from my childhood and while I was in my friends garden it just kept going round in my head- so I had to find/buy/ post it with my photos. Hence the VERY late night!
Ah true x but the garden will wait for you whereas children and grandchildren demand instant and constant attention/stimulation/cash injection etc etc😍
Yes my friend loves her garden with all her heart and pours that love into it. It looks truly beautiful and smells gorgeous with its old fashioned roses.

It reminds me of my childhood! It was often on the wireless all those years ago in the 50s!

Another gardening song…American Folk singer…listened to it every Spring. I’ll have to find it for you.

Inch by Inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow, gonna mulch it deep and low, gonna make it fertile ground
Inch by inch, row by row, Please, bless these seeds I sow…
I love the lyrics:
