Just read in the Guardian newspaper that two more US troops have been killed in Afghanistan and two more UK soldiers from 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment have been killed at a Helmand checkpoint by an Afghan policeman. When will the killing ever stop?
Had to change todays Haiku on the theme of “Grass” as this news makes me so sad:~

Your haiku is lovely and haunting. I am so saddened and disgusted at recent events, including many right here in my own country.

Thank you for reading and taking time to respond. I can’t bear the waste of life that goes on all over the world. As a mother I just know how the families of these young men ~ and women feel. I feel for everyone involved.
